Week 14 Summary:
In the top 10, we saw the Lions win their 11th straight game, the Chiefs hold on for another last-second victory over the surging Chargers (no pun intended), the Eagles get a helping hand from a Xavier Leggette drop to win their 9th in a row, and the Bills lose in the best game of the season against the Rams. Minnesota impressed against the Falcons, Pittsburgh continues to shine, and the Seahawks, winners of 4 consecutive games, creep their way into the top 10 as well.
In the middle of the pack, Tampa Bay moved up to 14 after taking the lead in the NFC South, the Rams put up 44 on the Bills to win a thrilling game in Los Angeles, the Dolphins won again and are now 4-1 in their last five, remaining playoff hopefuls, and San Francisco dominated Chicago to climb up four spots. On a more negative note, the Cardinals are quickly watching the NFC West slip away after losing three straight, and the Falcons are plummeting after a 6-3 start has turned into a 6-7 record.
At the bottom of the rankings, Cincinnati secured a much-needed win. The Saints dropped despite beating the Giants, thanks to Derek Carr’s injury. I may be too harsh on the Cowboys, moving them down five spots, but I just don’t have faith in them to win again this season. The Panthers move up two spots despite a loss, having made life difficult for teams, losing their last three by a combined 12 points (vs KC, TB and PHI). The Jets are in free fall, the Jaguars won the most boring game of the season, and the Giants and Raiders are battling for the league’s worst record.
Below are the Power Rankings for Week 15.
